What sort of mower is the Rotak 40?
The Rotak mower range are rotary mowers that have a single blade that rotates about a vertical axis. Rotary mowers were originally only available as petrol powered units, but with the inception of the electric mower, environmentally conscious consumers were able to use a mower with a significantly reduced carbon footprint.
In addition, current electric mower models are quieter, have an equivalent price, have a lower cost of ownership and greater reliability than their petrol counterparts. And now there are corded and cordless electric mowers to choose from.

With new technology introduced at the beginning of 2011, Bosch is changing the nature of the relationship between the mower and the user. Previously, the relationship was strained with lawnmowers being heavy, cumbersome and hard to start. To save you even more time and effort, Bosch has come up with unique grass combs that guide the grass directly towards the mowing blade to eliminate the problem of troublesome long grass against an edge, tree or building structure. So, no more having to go over the same area again with a line trimmer.
The Bosch Rotak 40 ergoflex has powerful 1700-watt Powerdrive motor with a 40-centimetre cutting width and a large 50L grass catcher that is recommended for larger lawn area’s up to 600 sq m. A single lever enables you to quickly and easily change the height of cut from 20 mm to 70 mm and a rear roller enables you to get cricket oval stripes on your lawn. The Rotak 40 only weighs 12.3 kg, so it is easy to carry and store and comes with a 15 m of cable. And you also get to reduce your carbon footprint!
